Descrizione
Viscounts of the Western Kingdom is set in the period of decline of the Kingdom, around 980 AD. The choice to favor peace over the growth of the Kingdom led the King to offer riches and territories to enemies in exchange for the end of wars and hostilities. But peace is always temporary. The spread of poverty has pushed people to abandon faith in the King and his ability to govern and many are calling for independence from the crown. Like Visconti belonging to his court, your future is now uncertain. You will have to be wise and determined, loyalty to the King must be maintained but it is a priority to gain the favor of the people, in view of a possible and sudden change in power.
Visconti is the third and final title of the Western Kingdom saga, after Architects and Paladins. At the start of the game, each player has a group of citizens who can then improve by hiring new ones with greater skills and abilities.
Each turn, players travel across the Kingdom’s territories to increase their influence by constructing
buildings, transcribing manuscripts, working on the castle, and acquiring contracts for territories in new regions. At the end of the game, when the kingdom reaches the state of poverty or prosperity, the player with the most victory points will be declared the winner!
