Lead your tribe through the Stone Age. Discover new areas with your explorers, go hunting in the forest and collect apples, nuts, mushrooms and tubers along the way. Inventions will allow you to move and collect food more easily. Build huts and cook the animals you caught in the forest in front of a bonfire. Whoever manages to earn the most points through the expansion and development of his tribe will be the winner.
Thanks to the game’s structure, each game will develop differently and a mysterious cave will add a pinch of unpredictability every time. Experience the thrill of living at the end of the Stone Age! An original mix between worker placement and map exploration. Designed by the same author as Carcassonne.
The Fire & Stone board is divided into 3 regions (I Africa and Europe, II Asia and III America). Players will have to move to discover tiles in the various areas of the regions and will only be able to access the next region after discovering a certain number of huts. A game of Fire & Stone ends after the eleventh hut has been placed.
Players will take turns moving and performing actions.
1. Moving: Players will move their explorer (and a second explorer only when the fifth hut has been discovered) 1 or 2 areas.
2. Play the action: if the area contains a tile, you flip it over and apply the effect. The effect allows you to place animals (they are used to be “cooked” and therefore obtain food), use fire to cook animals and, finally, build huts. Furthermore, the collected tiles can be taken and placed on your board to accumulate them: they are used to take victory point cards or invention cards.
At the end of the game, the victory points are added:
– points taken for discovering fire during the game
– points for victory point cards;
– points for the majority of huts in the areas;
– points for meeting the personal objective card requirement.
The player with the most victory points wins.
